This firm is experienced in Department of Corrections law and litigation.  We are knowledgeable in the areas of operations, policy, procedure, constitutional concerns, liability prevention and litigation.

We have litigated many related legal issues, including policy issues and prisoner allegations of excessive force.  As an example, this firm served as special litigation counsel to the State of New Jersey defending the then-serving Department of Corrections commissioner and over four hundred Department of Corrections employees.  The claims, by approximately seven hundred plaintiffs, involved constitutionally based allegations of excessive force and supervisory liability.  The employees, administrators and inmates were located in  every major prison in the State of New Jersey during the course of the litigation, which lasted several years.  Mark Roselli, who served as lead counsel, is a speaker on the issues of Department of Corrections policy, excessive force concerns, and legal risk prevention.
